Lent 2026
A SEASON OF FASTING, PRAYER, DISCIPLESHIP
As we enter the Lenten season, our focus remains on Christ—His life, His sacrifice, and His resurrection. This is a time of reflection, renewal, and intentional pursuit of God’s presence. Through fasting and prayer, we seek to align our hearts with Christ, drawing closer to Him in every aspect of our lives.
Our corporate fast will center on prayer and discipleship. In Luke 6:46, Jesus asks His disciples, “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?” In raising this question, Jesus pushes His disciples beyond their initial belief in Him as Lord and challenges them to listen to and follow His Word. Thus, we are fasting to transition from believers to followers and from membership to discipleship. The shift in our spiritual lives will impact our Christian walk and our community for God’s glory. Over the next six weeks, we will seek God’s guidance through fasting and prayer about how to be disciples and better followers of Jesus Christ.
